About Vestal Fires

Our Company, Vestal Fires Inc. was formed in Jan. 1996 because we saw a need for a beautiful, non-vented, freestanding fireplace (that can be placed anywhere) which could warm us, supply ambiance, relax our bodies and soothe our senses at the end of busy day. That is why we also incorporated a hidden aromatherapy fragrance holder into our designs.

We are dedicated to creating fireplaces of the highest quality with unique antique or contemporary finishes that cannot be found elsewhere.

Our name, Vestal Fires Inc., was chosen to symbolize Vesta, the Goddess of Fire, who watched over the hearths of home and state in Roman mythology. A shrine to Vesta was kept in every Roman household. Just as Vesta watched over the ancient hearth fires of Rome, we hope our classic fireplaces will introduce that mythological tradition in your home.

What is Hearth Art?

Our sand cast fireplaces from Vestal Fires are not mass-produced. Each piece is hand-crafted by highly skilled, Midwest artisans using the same techniques employed in foundries two centuries ago. These artisans take care in applying only the finest finishes; depicting each piece as a truly unique work of art.

What you may first suspect to be a flaw is actually perfection at its finest: the small sand holes, inclusions and dimensional differences in your casting attest to the fact that it has been created for you in the same meticulous, painstaking manner as in the days of old.

Our fireplaces, with minor variations, which are an inherent part of the 18th century processes, reflect our commitment to a quality that only a master craftsman could conform to.
